A new Indian restaurant is in the works for a prominent spot in the Reston Town Center development – basically looking out on the center’s covered plaza and ice rink.
Masti Indian Restaurant is taking over the space at 1825 Discovery Street that was vacated when the Panera Bread moved out way back in 2019.
That’s on the backside of the Hyatt Regency Reston hotel building.
The restaurant appears to be related to the Indochen restaurant brand – another Indian restaurant here in Northern Virginia with two locations in Alexandria.
A third Indochen is reportedly in the works for a different spot in the Reston Town Center – and on Masti’s ABC license application, Indochen Reston LLC is listed as the owner.
Masti is a Hindi word meaning “fun” – but so far there are no details on the items that will appear on the new restaurant’s menu.
We’ve got messages into the owners for more information. In the meanwhile, construction is underway inside the space, so answers should be coming soon.
