A new sweet shop specializing in cupcakes and ice cream treats is drawing closer to opening day – and now the signs have gone up over the doorway.
The Burn first told readers about plans for a new Lil’ Cakes & Creamery location in Sterling back in March.
The Maryland-based company has six locations open so far and Sterling will apparently be No. 7 for the growing brand.
The shop is coming to the Cascades Marketplace shopping center near Sterling’s Home Depot store.
That’s the same center with the new Taco Bamba restaurant, the new Brasserie Royale French bistro, and the upcoming drive-thru Shake Shack restaurant.
The menu at Lil’ Cakes & Creamery includes a wide variety of cupcakes, housemade ice creams, cake jars, push pops, cookies, and more. You can see the full line-up here.
A representative for the company tells us they are hoping to be ready to open their doors by the end of August if all goes smoothly. Stay tuned!
