A new restaurant concept from the folks behind Matchbox Pizza and Velocity Wings is getting ready to debut in Loudoun County. It’s called Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen.
Ms. Peach’s will be taking a spot in the Great Falls Plaza in Sterling. That’s the Food Lion-anchored shopping center off Algonkian Parkway.
The Burn has learned that Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen will be replacing the Locals Tacos & Tequila Mexican restaurant in the center.
Both the Ms. Peach’s and the Locals brands are part of the Thompson Restaurants family.
Thompson must be going through a reevaluation of their existing brands, because besides changing this Locals Tacos into Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen, the company also recently changed its Ashburn Social House restaurant into a new Makers Union Pub location.
The new Ms. Peach’s restaurant will focus on traditional southern dishes and flavors.
“At Ms. Peach’s, we bring you a blend of rich, flavorful dishes inspired by the heart of southern cooking,” the brand’s website reads. “From crispy fried chicken to savory shrimp and grits, our menu is a celebration of community, comfort, and tradition.”
Appetizers include a Warm Skillet Cornbread and golden fried Catfish Bites. They will have a Buttermilk Caesar Salad, a Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey Necks.
Mains include Ms. Peach’s Shrimp & Grits, a Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop, and Slow-Braised Oxtail.
The menus include both a brunch version and a supper version (bonus points for the use of the word “supper”) and it appears Ms. Peach’s will also have a full bar.
One other interesting note about the menu – apparently Ms. Peach’s is going to offer “Unlimited Family Style” dinners where you can choose an all-you-can-eat fried chicken or fried fish option along with two sides and biscuits. We’ve encountered this kind of family meal in the south and it’s a real treat.

The restaurant’s team has announced that Ms. Peach’s is planning on opening on Monday, August 25.
Ms. Peach’s is the second “southern” themed restaurant to be announced for Loudoun County recently. As The Burn reported, Juleps Kentucky Tavern is in the works for the Loudoun Station center in Ashburn.
