We’ve got a quick update on a story The Burn brought you last month – regarding the former Mimi’s Cafe building at the Dulles Town Center shopping mall.
At the time, we reported that the team behind the 5 Tara Indian Cuisine restaurant in Leesburg had leased the building with apparent plans to turn it into a new restaurant and event space.
Now, that appears to be the case. Signage has gone up on the building revealing that the name will be Marigold Restaurant & Banquet.
Construction work continues inside the building that has sat vacant ever since Mimi’s closed back in 2021.
No additional information about the plans for Marigold have been announced yet. We’ve got multiple messages in to the owners for more details.
This is one of two vacant restaurant buildings at the DTC that are finding new life. The former PF Chang’s building next door to The Cheesecake Factory is getting turned into a Bourbon Boulevard steakhouse.
