Some interesting news coming out of Brambleton in Ashburn. That’s where the Rebel Taco Cantina restaurant has closed its doors in anticipation of a move to a new location.
Rebel Taco originally opened in 2022 in a spot adjacent to the Brambleton Library in the Brambleton Town Center.
It was part of a small chain that once had several other locations in the Washington region as well as a location in Philly.
The other brick-and-mortar locations have since closed. However, a Rebel Taco food truck with a different owner is still operating.
Interestingly, we are being told by sources that a new Rebel Taco location is in the works for a different spot in the Ashburn area. Stay turned for more information on that.
Meanwhile, at Brambleton, the roughly 3,000 s.f. former Rebel Taco space sits in a prime spot across from the Regal Fox movie theater, and we are hearing a super interesting rumor on who is coming there next. We’re working to confirm it so we can report it to you.
