The Roggenart European Bakery, Bistro & Cafe has announced that it will open its latest location next week.
The new store is coming to the Reston Town Center West retail center – usually called RTC West. That’s off Sunset Hills Road near the intersection with Town Center Parkway.
As The Burn reported last December, Roggenart has taken over a space next to the Cooper’s Hawk that was previously home to a Starbucks.
Roggenart – which means “the art of the rye” – will open at 10:30 a.m. next Thursday, August 21. The news was first reported by our friends at FFXNow.com.
There will be a ribbon cutting, free samples of pastries and free coffee, and what they claim is the largest croissant in Virginia will be broken into to celebrate the big day.
“Roggenart’s menu features a delightful mix of artisan breakfast sandwiches atop buttery croissants, signature omelets, cast iron pressed sandwiches, danishes with sweet cheese, and hand-crafted breads,” reads the official opening announcement.
The brand also has made a name for itself with its “crookie” – a croissant with cookie dough baked inside.
The Reston store is No. 11 for the Maryland-based brand which has locations in that state as well as Virginia and Illinois.
