(Updated 8-16-25) Well, we finally figured it out. This past spring, The Burn learned that a new restaurant was in the works for Loudoun County called The Burger Factory. And that was as far as we got. No other information.
Fast forward a few months and it’s all becoming clear.
The Burger Factory is a fast-casual hamburger brand that is based in Canada. According to the company’s website, there are roughly 40 locations across our northern neighbor.
There is also apparently one location in Illinois and one in New Jersey. It appears our local location will be the first Burger Factory in the DC market.
The site in question is a 2,000 s.f. space in the Clock Tower Center. That’s a strip mall off of Route 7 in Sterling.
The new Burger Factory spot is a few doors down from the Buffalo Wild Wings GO location that opened late last year.

Of course, burgers are the main focus of the menu at The Burger Factor. Signature burgers include the Juicy Lucy, the Juicy Lucy on Fire, and the Cheesy Lucy.
They also have chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, French fries, onion rings, funnel cakes, milkshakes, and more. You can see the Canadian version of The Burger Factory menu here.
No word on when the Sterling location will open, but temporary signage has gone up on the windows. We’ll report back when we get more details.
