In what may be the least surprising news we’ve ever reported, it appears that the combo Qwench Juice Bar and DRNK coffee shop in Sterling have closed for good.
It was back in June that we reported that the store had closed “until further notice.” That was based on its Google listing and a sign on the door. Now it appears this temporarily closure has become permanent.
The “until further notice” sign has been removed from the front door, the signs on the facade have come down, and it looks like they have started clearing out the equipment and merchandise inside.
Even more telling, the landlord for the Cascades Overlook retail center has changed the 2,100 s.f. space’s status from “leased” to “available” – meaning they are searching for a new tenant to take it over.
Qwench and its sister coffee brand DRNK were part of a growing California-based brand when they first opened in Sterling in 2018.

A second Qwench location – sans DRNK – followed in Lansdowne in 2021, but it lasted less than two years before closing its doors.
Now the original Sterling location has closed as well, bringing the brand’s time in Northern Virginia to an end – at least for now.
