A new Peruvian restaurant has quietly started welcoming guests a few days earlier than planned. Yep, the Machu Picchu Restobar in Loudoun County is open for business.
As The Burn has been reporting, Machu Picchu has come to the Ashbrook Commons shopping center in Ashburn. That’s near Route 7 and Ashburn Village Boulevard.
Machu Picchu took over the space that was previously the Ashburn Village Inn.
The team at the new restaurant was originally planning on opening this coming week, but decided to pull the proverbial trigger early and instead started welcoming guests on Friday, August 29.
The restaurant specializes in Peruvian dishes such as Polla a la Brasa and Lomo Saltado.
We understand they are currently conducting what’s known as a “soft opening” – meaning its a chance to slow roll everything out and make sure everything is working right. The big “official” opening is still set for this coming Wednesday, September 3.
Machu Picchu is offering a limited menu right now and will expand to the full menu in the coming days and weeks.
We are also told they are waiting on their ABC license so guests will have to wait a little longer to pair a beer, wine, or cocktail with their meals.
