The vacant Sunoco gas station and convenience store at 47870 Truro Parish Drive in Ashburn is getting a new lease on life. A new operator is coming in and taking it over.
As reported here on The Burn, the popular gas station closed late year. The windows were covered over along with the fuel pumps and the sign out by the street.
Besides anchoring the tiny retail center around it, the c-stores was popular with local kids walking home from Eagle Ridge Middle School.
Now, we have learned that a new operator will be taking it over. The name of the company is MYS Energy and it apparently has a dozen or so stations and truck stops in five states.
We don’t know what gasoline brand will be attached to the new station and we don’t know if there will be a well-known convenience store brand attached either. Right now, documents say the name of the store will be the “MYS Market.”
We’ve got a message into the corporate HQ for MYS Energy and will report back when we get more information.
