A couple of quick updates on the story The Burn first broke two weeks ago. That’s when we told readers in Ashburn that a beloved local gas station and convenience store was going to be reopened.
We’re talking about the former Sunoco station and 7-Eleven convenience store at 42870 Truro Parish Drive in the Broadlands neighborhood.
The station closed suddenly late last year. Now, a new company called MYS Energy is coming in and reopening it.
We spoke with a local manager. He told us the gas brand will be switching from Sunoco to Shell.
The convenience store is a new brand that MYS Energy is creating. The store will be called My Market.
We got a look inside – all new shelving was being assembled when we stopped by last week. No opening date has been set, but they are hoping to be ready to go in the new few months.
