Reston has two new upscale establishments for wining and dining the night away. We’re talking about The Simon and the Schar Bar.
The Simon is the full-service restaurant inside the new JW Marriott hotel that formally opened last week. And it’s joined by the sleek circular Schar Bar.
The hotel is part of the growing Reston Station project located just on the north side of Highway 267. It can be found at 11350 Reston Station Boulevard.
“At The Simon, every menu is thoughtfully crafted to showcase the best of the season and the rich bounty of Mid-Atlantic purveyors,” the restaurant’s website reads. “From signature dishes like dry-aged duck à la pressé with lavender to brioche-stuffed golden chicken, our menus celebrate flavor, artistry, and detail in every bite.”
The Simon offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, brunch and dessert menus. There are also small bites at the Schar Bar plus cocktail and wine menus. You can see the full array of offerings at The Simon here.
There are some heavy hitters behind the menus. Executive Chef Anthony DiGregorio has worked in kitchens that include The Watergate Hotel and Café Boulud Palm Beach.
Meanwhile, Executive Pastry Chef Claus Olsen has worked around the world including stops at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and The Mayfair Hotel London.
