Banaras Xpress, an Indian restaurant in Sterling, appears to have closed its doors for good after roughly two years in business.
The restaurant was located in the Potomac Run Plaza. That’s the same center with the Target store, the Bojangles fried chicken restaurant, the Miller Ale House, and many other businesses and stores.
The Google listing for Banaras Xpress says it is “temporarily closed.” However, we looked in the window and the space appears to have been emptied out – furniture and fixtures all removed.
The phone number is also disconnected and the website is offline. The landlord has also listed the space as available, so it seems very unlikely Banaras Xpress will return to this location.
As The Burn reported at the time, Banaras Xpress first opened in the roughly 6,600 s.f. space back in the fall of 2023.
