A new sweet shop opened its doors “softly” today in Loudoun County. We’re talking about the newest Lil’ Cakes & Creamery location.
Lil’ Cakes & Creamery can be found in the Cascades Marketplace shopping center.
That’s the center in Sterling with a slew of new and upcoming restaurants, including CHIKO, Brasserie Royale, Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, Taco Bamba, and Shake Shack.
A soft opening is a time before a grand opening where new staff can get their feet wet and they can make sure all the store’s systems are working properly.
Lil’ Cakes specializes in exactly what it sounds like – fresh-made cupcakes, various desserts and tarts, plus ice cream as well. It’s a one-stop-shop for anyone with a sweet tooth. You can see the menu at the bottom of this story.
The growing brand has seven locations now – five in Maryland and two here in Northern Virginia.
One other note – the space directly in front of the Lil’s Cakes shop is under construction at the moment. The shopping center is adding a little park-like area with paths and seating. It will be a nice spot to enjoy a sweet treat once the work is done.
