The Black Market – an upscale farm-to-table restaurant with a small gourmet market – has closed its doors for good along Highway 50 in Aldie.
The Google listing for The Black Market says temporarily closed. However, an employee told us it is permanent and the owners are considering their next moves.
Meanwhile, passers-by tell us that a sign has been placed out front offering the building for lease.
The spot is known as the longtime home of the Aldie General Store. A year ago, new owners refurbished the space and opened The Black Market.
Now, flash forward less than 12 months and word arrives that the upscale restaurant and market concept is done. No word yet what might come to that space next.
