The new Ornery Beer Company Public House coming to Herndon is starting to prep for opening. The exact date hasn’t been set yet, but if things go smoothly – it could happen before the end of the month.
The Burn first broke the news back in March that Ornery was planning to open a new location in the Woodland Park Crossing shopping center. That’s off of Sunrise Valley Drive at the intersection with Monroe Street.
We’re told they have refurbished a vacant space in the center, given it brand new decor, and started hiring.
This will be the company’s second public house location after one in Fairfax. They also have a taproom in the Bristow area.
The new Herndon public house will be a full service restaurant with a full liquor bar plus a beer menu made up of Ornery’s extensive list of in-house brews.

When Ornery opens in Herndon, the menu will be a truncated version compared to the menu at the brand’s first location in Fairfax, but they expect to quickly ramp up to the full menu.
Ornery Beer Company is the brainchild of CEO and founder Randy Barnette who is a Herndon native and graduated from Herndon High School.
He’s recently announced the hire of a new head brewer, Eric Ahlberg, who was previously the head brewer of Blue Point Brewing in Long Island, New York.
