Just a quick update to a story that we have been following here on The Burn – a new Sheetz gas station and convenience store that is under construction in Ashburn.
The Sheetz is coming to the corner of Belmont Ridge Road and Portsmouth Boulevard in the Belmont Greene community. It’s been in the works for years and work at the site finally started this summer.
Now, the landlord at the property has announced that Sheetz is targeting a February opening if everything stays on track.
Besides the retail Sheetz store, the project will also have 12 fuel pumps and – eventually – six EV charging stations.
Large gas station brands like Sheetz continue to grow in the area.
A new Wawa on Route 50 in southern Loudoun is nearing completion and – as we reported earlier Monday – the Dash In brand is looking at possible new location in Ashburn.
