Apricot Lane, a women’s clothing boutique at One Loudoun in Ashburn, has closed its store there and will move to a new location.
The news came via social media. “Big news. We’re not closing, we’re moving,” the store’s team posted. “Stay tuned for sneak peaks of our new location and the official opening date.”
No word yet on where the store will move to nor when it will open. Stay tuned.
Apricot Lane originally opened in Ashburn back in 2021. It was one of several small retail brands that came into the center around the same time.
Longtime readers may recall that while One Loudoun had lots of great restaurants back then, some area residents wished it had more stores for shopping. Apricot Lane was one of those early retailers to move in.
However, more recently the center has started signing larger, national brands such as Sephora, Lululemon, Warby Parker, and Southern Tide as well as the upcoming Kendra Scott, Williams-Sonoma, and Alo, among others.
Just an educated guess on our part, but with more prestigious national brands coming in at likely higher rent rates, some of the smaller early brands may be moving out in search of less pricey digs.
