New Target store in Loudoun opens its doors early

Sometimes you just can’t wait. The new Target store in the Arcola/South Riding area of southern Loudoun County has officially opened its doors – five days early.

The official announcements from the Target HQ – and the banner on the front of the building – said the big day for the long-awaited store was going to be Sunday, October 12. Instead, the Target team started welcoming guests Tuesday evening.

The new 148,000 s.f. store is located at 24670 Arcola Landing Drive. It’s the first tenant in a future retail center sometimes called the Shops at Arcola Center.

The Target appears to have something for everyone – wide aisles, a big toy section, electronics, holiday decor, clothing and home goods, plus a large grocery section with fresh produce.

There’s also an in-store Starbucks cafe at the front. Plus, on the side of the building there are pick-up lanes for merchandise ordered online.

And unlike the Target store near the intersection of Waxpool Road and Pacific in Sterling, this Target has two entrances – one at either end of the store. Hallelujah!
