First Wonder food hall in the works for Loudoun County

Exciting news – The Burn has learned that a Wonder food hall is in the works for Loudoun County. If the deal is a lock, it will be the first location in the county for the fast growing national brand.

Wonder is planning a new location in a roughly 3,600 s.f. space in the Fort Evans Plaza II shopping center in Leesburg.

That’s the plaza with the Restoration Hardware store, the HomeGoods, and the Trader Joe’s, among many other retailers.

It will be taking the unit at 528 Fort Evans Road NE, an endcap spot that was previously a Dragon Yong-In Martial Arts studio.

Regular readers should be aware of the Wonder brand. It’s a really interesting concept – born out of the ghost kitchens of the pandemic where multiple brands shared a single kitchen.

The Wonder brand finds popular restaurant concepts around the country and puts them together in a single kitchen. They then open a storefront that may have a small dining room area, but is primarily focused on the carryout and delivery market.

The planned Leesburg location would have roughly 20 or so seats for dining in.

The upcoming Wonder food hall location in Reston’s Plaza America center.

As The Burn has been reporting, there is a new Wonder food hall location just about ready to open in Reston’s Plaza America center.

That location has announced it will be serving up food from the following brands: Tejas Barbecue (BBQ), Fred’s Meat & Bread (sandwiches), Yasas (Greek), Limesalt (Mexican), Sweetbird (fried chicken), Alanza Pizza (pizza), Wing Trip (chicken wings), and Burger Baby (burgers and fries).

The upcoming Wonder food hall location in Reston, with a list of the restaurants that will be featured there.

It’s likely some – or all – of those brands would be offered at the future Leesburg location as well. Time will tell.

Wonder has locations open or in the works in nine states and DC, according to its website. Besides the Reston spot, another Wonder is already open in Arlington, and one is in the works for Alexandria.

No word yet on a timeline for the planned Leesburg store.
