The first Dominique Dawes Academy in the state of Virginia has opened its doors in Loudoun County. The gymnastics training facility is found in Ashburn.
It’s located in the Ashbrook Commons shopping center near the intersection of Route 7 and Ashburn Village Boulevard.
A grand opening was held this weekend with Dawes herself onsite to cut the ceremonial ribbon and greet future gymnasts and their families.
Dawes is a three-time Olympian and a gold medalist. She is the founder and brand ambassador of the academy.
Besides gymnastics training, the academy also offers courses in ninja skills – a popular sport where participants try to speed through various obstacle courses.

According to the company’s website, there are four Dominique Dawes Academy locations open so far in Maryland, plus the one here in Ashburn and another one in Georgia.
