Loudoun’s latest Wawa store opens its doors this week

The new Wawa gas station and convenience store on Route 50 in southern Loudoun County is ready for its big debut. The grand opening is scheduled for this Friday, October 24.

It’s been more than two years since The Burn first reported that a Wawa was planned for a parcel of land at the Loudoun Crossroads development.

That’s at the intersection of 50 and Pleasant Valley Road. The Wawa is next door to the Popeyes and Silver Diner restaurants.

At the 8 a.m. grand opening Friday, there will be free Wawa t-shirts for the first 100 visitors and Wally Goose, the brand’s mascot, will be on hand for photos. There will also be free coffee and a ribbon cutting ceremony around 8:30 a.m.

The new Chantilly Wawa is scheduled to be open 24/7 from that point forward.
