Who doesn’t love a good empanada? Well, those warm pockets of dough stuffed with meats, cheeses, and other ingredients are headed to a new restaurant in Reston.
Emapanadas de Mendoza is opening a small outlet for their Argentinian and Latin American food favorites. It will be in the North Point Village Center.
They are taking over the space that has most recently been the Mochinut outlet. The news about Empanadas de Mendoza was first reported by the gang over at FFXNow.com.
The brand already has two food trucks that ply Northern Virginia community events and they have a retail outlet at their commercial kitchen in Lorton.
In Reston, guests will find empanada favorites such as Spicy Beef, Honey BBQ Pork, Spinach Ricotta, and Three Cheese.
The menu also has sandwiches, sides, and desserts. You can see a sample of the Empanadas de Mendoza menu below.
The latest word from the Mendoza team is that they are aiming to open in November – so really, it could be any time now.
