The new Starbucks coffee shop is starting to take shape at the Loudoun Station retail center in Ashburn. Exterior windows were being installed when we passed by on Friday.
The Burn first reported on plans for the new Starbucks back in April. The roughly 1,800 s.f. store is going into a spot between the AMC movie theater (it will always be the Starplex to us) and the Sola Salons.
A new pizza restaurant called Curry Pizza House is also under construction on that same block.
Unlike many recent Starbucks locations in Loudoun County and elsewhere, this new java joint will not have a drive-thru lane.
It sits in what’s called an “in-line” position – more in the model of an urban city spot meant to attract passers-by on their way to the stores or nearby Metro, or the residents in the many apartments at the center.
No word yet on when the Starbucks at Loudoun Station will open, so stay tuned.
