It looks like a couple of Asian cuisine restaurants in Loudoun County have pulled the old switcheroo. One of them closed suddenly, only to be replaced by the other.
Or put more simply – Running Dish is out, KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is in.
Regular readers may recall our reporting on the opening of Running Dish, a Sterling restaurant that served Korean BBQ, hot pot, and sushi.
It was perhaps best known for its conveyor belt that transported a steady stream of sushi dishes past tables in the dining room.
Running Dish only opened last November in the Sugarland Crossing shopping center off Route 7 and it apparently quietly closed a couple of months ago.
In its place, a new restaurant called KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot has opened its doors.
We’ve written about KPOT before – specifically when the national brand first started looking for locations in the region. According to the company’s website, there are several locations open or in the works around Northern Virginia.
The menu at KPOT includes both hot pot – where meats and vegetables are simmered in various broths and soups – and Korean BBQ – where various meats and vegetables are cooked on a grill in the center of the diner’s table.
You can check out the full food menu for KPOT below.
