It looks like the 7-Eleven convenience store chain will be moving into a busy shopping center in Lansdowne.
The Burn has learned that there are plans afoot to take the convenience store currently attached to the Shell gas station in the Lansdowne Town Center and turn it into a 7-Eleven.
The Shell station was previously owned by the Rubino family – the folks behind the Filling Co. Gas & Grub convenience stores in Ashburn.
Despite their protestations to the contrary, some thought they might turn the Lansdowne location into a Filling Co. as well. But that is not to be. The Rubinos recently sold the gas station.
Now, it looks like the new owner is bringing in the 7-Eleven brand. No word on when the transition will take place, so stay tuned.
