Here we go again – it seems like we should just set up a special section on The Burn devoted to the Wonder “food hall” concept – because another one is headed to our area.
We’ve learned that a Wonder multi-restaurant eatery (we’re still not sure what to actually call it) is coming to Sterling. It’s taking a spot in the Cascades Marketplace shopping center.
Wonder will be going into a free-standing building next door to the Taco Bamba restaurant.
As we have been reporting, Wonder is a “ghost kitchen” restaurant outlet where food from a variety of different restaurants is all available from a single Wonder location.
The concept is primarily focused on carryout and delivery – all though some locations have a small dining room with a handful of tables.
It’s often been referred to as a food hall, but it’s not a food hall in the traditional sense with different kiosks and stands each branded as a different restaurant and diners can visit each one.
Instead, there are self-ordering stations – or you order on the Wonder app – and then food is brought out from the kitchen and placed on a shelves for customers or delivery drivers to pick up.

Cuisines featured include burgers, Italian, pizza, Asian, barbecue, Mexican, Greek, wings, and more.
A Wonder location just opened last month in Reston – and as we have exclusively reported – another one is headed to Leesburg. Now Sterling is in the works too.
No target dates for opening either Loudoun location have been announced, so stay tuned.
