What’s old is new again. The signage has gone up at the new Austin Grill location coming to Loudoun County. It marks a rebirth for an old brand.
Austin Grill is a Tex-Mex restaurant coming to the Great Falls Plaza in Sterling. It has taken over the space that was previously the Velocity Wings restaurant.
Both Velocity Wings and Austin Grill are owned and operated by Thompson Restaurants. The company also owns the new Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen which sits just a few doors down in the same center.
Austin Grill once had several locations around Northern Virginia and DC, but the last one closed a few years back. Now, Thompson Restaurants is giving the brand a refresh and bringing it back to life.
The Burn first broke the news about Austin Grill’s return back in September and we gave readers a sneak peek at the new concept in October.
We’re told diners can expect dishes such as Tex-Mex egg rolls, tacos and fajitas, smoked brisket nachos, and the brand’s much-loved BBQ grilled wings.
Still no word on an opening date, so we will report back as soon as it is announced.
