A bit of a morning mystery today – is the Qdoba Mexican Eats restaurant in Herndon moving or closing? And is a new restaurant called Charcoal Chicken moving in?
That’s what seems to be the case, based on information from Rappaport, the local landlord.
For several months now, the 2,300 s.f. Qdoba space in the Worldgate Centre has been listed as “available.”
Now, the listing has been updated and the space is marked as the home of a restaurant called Charcoal Chicken.
We reached out to the Qdoba and the employee we spoke to said they didn’t know anything about plans to close or move the fast-casual Mexican restaurant.
And we found a listing for a Charcoal Chicken Indian & Pakistani restaurant in Chantilly, but when we spoke to an employee there, they didn’t believe there were any plans to open a Herndon location.
We’ve sent messages to Rappaport – and to Charcoal Chicken management as well – and are awaiting responses. But it clearly looks like something is afoot.
