We knew it was coming up quick and now opening day – Thursday, December 4 – has arrived for the newest Starbucks coffee shop in Ashburn. Just in time for the holidays!
As we’ve been reporting, the new shop is at the Loudoun Station development adjacent to the Ashburn Metro stop, just a few doors down from the AMC movie theater.
We spoke with a manager on Wednesday who was overseeing some final staff training and she confirmed the news.
Meanwhile work crews were bustling around putting the finishing touches on the space and stocking the shelves.
Unlike many (most?) Starbucks in the area, this shop does not have a drive-thru lane.
It’s in what’s called an “inline” storefront position more akin to an downtown location versus a suburban shopping center.
Besides the many residents at Loudoun Station and around the area, it seems certain that they are hoping some of the customer base will also be riders on their way to and from the Metro.
