More retail announced for Concourse E at Dulles International

Construction on the new Concourse E at Dulles International Airport is well underway with a target opening of late 2026.

After an initial announcement of restaurants and retail earlier this year, the team overseeing concessions in the new terminal have announced more tenants that will offer flyers food and shopping options.

The latest list includes:

District & Co. + Starbucks – a hybrid space that will offer travelers 24/7 access to coffee beverages, baked goods, and pre-packaged sandwiches and salads, along with a variety of travel necessities.

Mercantile 1749 – inspired by Old Town Alexandria’s charm and esthetic, this store will feature merchandise from well-known shops like Made in ALX and The Old Town Shop.

Tidal Trading by Hudson – a travel convenience store that reflects one of Washington, D.C.’s famous Tidal Basin. The store will offer convenience items with a selection of Grab & Go items and gourmet snacks from local brands like Together We Bake and Capital Candy Jar.

Metro Made – a souvenir shop with an assortment will include mugs, stickers, children’s items, apparel, and local gifts that capture the spirit of the region.

Beltway Bites – a fast, flexible automated retail space that will offer a variety of ready-to-eat items, both hot and cold, 24 hours a day. Travelers will order food via touchscreen from some of their favorite restaurant brands.

Concourse E will have 14 new gates. All of them will reportedly be dedicated to United flights when the terminal opens.

Other tenants previously announced for Concourse E include a lineup of local favorites such as Ellie Bird, Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe, and Aventino. You can see our report on that announcement here.
