The Chimney Cake Bakery sweet shop is officially open inside the Dulles Town Center shopping mall in Sterling.
It has opened in the kiosk next to Cinnabon on the ground level that used to be the site of a Smoothie King stand.
Back in October, The Burn told readers about the plans for Chimney Cake Bakery to open in the mall. They had previously had a small spot off South Sterling Boulevard.
A chimney cake is a traditional Hungarian pastry made from a sweet dough that is wrapped around a spit and baked.
It has a crispy, caramelized outer layer and soft, fluffy interior, and is often coated in toppings like cinnamon, sugar, nuts, or coconut. It can then be filled with ice cream or other fillings.
