The sign went up today at a new Indian restaurant coming to Ashburn’s Brambleton neighborhood. We’re talking about the restaurant Amrut – and if you haven’t heard about it before, there’s a reason why.
Amrut is coming to the Brambleton Corner Plaza. That’s at the intersection of Northstar Boulevard and Evergreen Mills Road.
Originally, it had been announced that the location would be a new outlet for the local Biryani Grill restaurant chain.
The Burn first reported on this back in October 2024. In our coverage at the time, we pointed out that the Brambleton spot would have put three Biryani Grill locations in relative close proximity – with one Biryani Grill open in South Riding and a second one planned (and since opened) in Ashburn.
It turns out – the owners of Biryani Grill thought the same thing and decided to do a different concept – Amrut – at the spot in Brambleton.
Amrut will be two restaurants in one – there will be an upscale full-service side of the restaurant that will have a full bar and its own unique menu – different from the one found at Biryani Grill.
Separately, there will be a fast-casual portion of the space where guests can order at a counter and get their food more quickly.
All total, we’re told Amrut will be roughly 5,700 s.f. The full-service side will have seating for about 130 diners, while there will be seating for 30-40 guests on the fast-casual side.
The full service menu will include dishes such as Bang Bang Gobi, Baby Corn Pepper Fry, Gun Powder Prawns, Naga Chicken Wings, Mughlai Chicken Curry, and Nihari Lamb Shanks
The fast-casual menu will include items such as South Indian tiffins (snacks), Indian-style pizzas and sandwiches, and more.

An opening date for Amrut hasn’t been set yet, but we’re told they are hoping to be ready yet this month – meaning before the new year.
In case you were wondering, the name “Amrut” comes from the Sanskrit word for “immortality.”
