Well, that didn’t take long. We now know the two new restaurants that will be coming to the East Gate Marketplace shopping center in the Chantilly/South Riding area of southern Loudoun County.
One will be a Makers Union gastropub and the other will be a Milk & Honey Southern Inspired Kitchen.
It was just yesterday – Tuesday – that The Burn reported about the planned closing of the Social House restaurant and the Velocity Wings restaurant. We hinted at the time that new concepts would be taking their place – and now it’s confirmed.
All four of these restaurant brands – the ones leaving and the ones coming – are part of the Thompson Restaurants family of brands.
Thompson is currently going through a significant overhaul – changing some long time brands out for new or different ones and also closing some locations and opening new ones elsewhere.
The Social House and the Velocity Wings in the shopping center are expected to close sometime this month. And we’re told that Thompson hopes to open the new Makers Union and the new Milk & Honey by March if all goes smoothly.
