When both the Office Depot and the Party City stores closed in the Chantilly Crossing shopping center, the property management team was left with two very large retail spaces to fill. Well, it looks like they have had some success.
The Burn has learned that a new Burlington store will be taking more than 20,000 s.f. of the vacant space.
Chantilly Crossing is the retail center off Lee Road just south of Highway 50 near the intersection with State Road 28. It’s home to a Costco, a Target, and a Lidl supermarket.
Most area shoppers are familiar with Burlington – originally known as Burlington Coat Factory. It’s a department store founded in 1972 that offers clothes, shoes, toys, accessories, and many other items.
There are multiple locations across Northern Virginia, including ones in Leesburg, Sterling, Fairfax and elsewhere.
We checked the Burlington grand openings website, and no details yet on when the new Chantilly store will open.
The departed Office Depot and Party City at Chantilly Crossing together were a little over 30,000 s.f.. With Burlington taking approximately 20K, this leaves roughly 10,000 s.f. that is yet to be filled.
