Reimagined Austin Grill opens its doors in Loudoun County

As The Burn has been reporting, the new Austin Grill started a soft opening this week at its new location in Loudoun County – and this gave us our first good look inside the new Tex-Mex restaurant.

Austin Grill took over the spot that previously a Velocity Wings in the Great Falls Plaza shopping center in Sterling.

A grand opening was planned for next week, but that date has now moved slightly. The grand opening celebration is now scheduled for Tuesday, February 10.

“Join us from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our first round of giveaways,” the Austin Grill team posted on social media about the grand opening plans. “From merch to gift cards and freebies we’re giving it all to the first 50 folks who come see us. Second round of giveaways start at 5 p.m. and go until 7 p.m. and trust (us) when we say … this ain’t our first rodeo … we’re ready to kick things off with a bang.”

Austin Grill is a name that might be familiar to many longtime restaurant goers in Northern Virginia. The concept had several locations a few years back, but the last one closed in 2022.

Now, Austin Grill has been given a whole new look and a completely revamped menu and has been brought back to life.

While no additional Austin Grill locations have been announced yet, it’s expected that the brand – which is part of the Thompson Restaurants family – will open additional outlets around NoVa.
