UPDATE Feb. 7, 2026 – The All American Steakhouse in Ashburn has reopened. See our report here.
=====
The buzz continues hot and heavy around Ashburn regarding yesterday’s sudden and unexpected closure of the All American Steakhouse in the Broadlands Village Center.
The Burn first reported Thursday night about how the doors were locked and a notice on the front window said that the landlord had taken control of the space.
While we haven’t gotten an official update from anyone, we have heard lots of behind-the-scenes scuttlebutt. Nothing is definite yet, but it sounds like the All American Steakhouse is likely to reopen.
We’re hearing that staff are being told the owners hope to reopen by Monday at the latest.
To a degree, we can infer what likely happened. The tenant – All American Steakhouse – and the landlord – Saul Centers – got crosswise over some issue.
No firm idea what the issue is – it could be a dispute about rent, or repairs, or noise, or signage, or insurance issues, or a myriad of other clauses that are included in commercial leases.
But we will say that stepping in and closing a business down is a pretty big step – a proverbial nuclear option for a landlord. The issue had to have reached a significant breaking point to come to this.
Bottom line, we don’t officially know anymore than we did Thursday night. The Steakhouse was closed and the landlord had a legal notice posted on the front door.
But several sources are saying the closure is unlikely to be permanent – and once the current issue is resolved to the satisfaction of the parties involved – the All American Steakhouse should reopen.
As we like to say here at The Burn – stay tuned.
