Good news to report today. The All American Steakhouse restaurant in Ashburn reopened its doors this morning – Saturday, February 7 – two days after it closed amidst a dispute with its landlord.
The restaurant – long a staple of the Broadlands Village Center shopping plaza – closed suddenly and with no notice this past Thursday.
However, by Friday, employees were being told the matter was being worked out and the restaurant was likely to reopen this weekend. And by the lunch hour on Saturday, customers were back in the seats around the establishment’s large bar.
Forcing a restaurant to close is no small matter – no landlord would take this step lightly – so whatever the issue was between the tenant (the Steakhouse) and the landlord (Saul Centers), it must have been very serious.
The quick resolution is doubly good news for both the Steakhouse and its customers considering the Super Bowl is Sunday – one of the biggest days of the year for sports bars.
