It’s been more than two years since we first reported on plans for a new taco joint in southern Loudoun County, but it looks like opening day is finally drawing near.
We’re talking about El Jefe Tacos & Cantina coming to the East Gate Marketplace shopping center. That’s at the intersection of Highway 50 and Tall Cedars Parkway.
We poked our head in the front door this week and spoke with a team member who said they are hoping to be ready to open in the next few weeks.
El Jefe already has its permit from the Loudoun County Health Department – a major milestone for a new restaurant.
It sounds like they are still waiting on their Virginia ABC license – a critical component for a restaurant that plans to offer hand-crafted cocktails along with its Tex-Mex fare.
