A new barber shop and salon aimed at men is reportedly in the works for the Loudoun Station development off Shellhorn Road in Ashburn.
It’s called Tune Up Salon and it bills itself as “The Manly Salon”. It’s part of a Texas-based chain that is now expanding across the country.
According to commercial real estate documents, Tune Up will be moving into an approximately 1,400 s.f. space next door to the Burger 21 restaurant.
“At Tune Up Salon, we’re more than just a place to get a haircut – we’re a true Texas experience,” the brand’s website reads. “From beard trims, shaves, and fades to facials, waxing, and even manis and pedis, our full lineup of services is built to keep you looking sharp and feeling your best.”
The Tune Up site also touts that those 21 and over can enjoy a beer or whiskey while at the salon. The beer may or may not fly in Loudoun, but I believe other men’s salons have wanted to serve liquor and run up against local laws.
Similar brands in the same space locally include Roosters Men’s Grooming Centers in Leesburg, Herndon, Reston and elsewhere; and Hammer & Nails, which has locations in Leesburg and Reston.
