(UPDATED) There’s been a lot of progress in recent weeks at the newest Sheetz location in Loudoun County.
The framework for the canopy over the gas pumps has gone up and so has the main building.
This great view of the work is thanks to our friend Missie Ellis at Vantage Point Drone, who posted these images on social media this week.
As readers of The Burn know, a long-awaited Sheetz gas station and convenience store is finally under construction at the corner of Portsmouth Boulevard and Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn.
That’s on a parcel of land in the Village Center at Belmont Greene retail plaza.
Besides the c-store and gas, Sheetz locations also include an onsite fast-food restaurant with burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, subs, chicken tenders, French fries, and more.

The Burn first reported on the plans to put a Sheetz there five years ago – way back in March 2021.
It was only late last year that construction work finally got underway on the project.
A rep for Sheetz says the current timeline calls for an opening sometime this coming summer.
