Well, be still my beating heart. More than three years after we first reported about plans for a large Korean BBQ restaurant in Sterling, it appears there is movement on the project.
We’ll lay out for you what we know…
That’s just off Route 7 at the intersection with Countryside Boulevard.
At the time, we were originally told it would be called Khan Korean BBQ & Bar. And at one point, it looked like work had started in the space – but then crickets as the months – and then years – rolled by.
Now – there is something new to report. Temporary signage touting Khan Korean Grill & Bar has appeared in the window of the unit at Countryside Marketplace. It says it’s “coming soon.”
And when we looked in through the windows, it appeared that work on the space had resumed.
While a delay of three years is a bit out of the ordinary, it seems the team at Khan Korean Grill & Bar has been busy.
They opened a location in Woodbridge in 2024 and then another location at the Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax in 2025. Now, it appears Sterling is next – perhaps sometime in 2026.
We have messages in to the Khan Korean Grill & Bar headquarters. We’ll report back if we get more details.
