(UPDATED) A slate of new restaurants are headed to the South Riding area including an ice cream shop, a smoothie shop, and a new pizza place.
Readers may recall our report on from March 9, when we broke the news that Haraz Coffee House was planning a location at a new retail center under construction at 43341 Defender Drive.
Now, the landlord has announced additional tenants that have inked deals at the center.
They include a Cold Stone Creamery, a Smoothie King, and a pizzeria called Apna Pizza.
Cold Stone and Smoothie King are – of course – national brands.
However, this will apparently mark the first Apna Pizza in Northern Virginia, according to the brand’s website.
The pizzeria currently has one location in Rockville and specializes in Indian style pizzas such as Chicken Tikka Pizza and Butter Chicken Pizza. You can see the Apna Pizza menu here.
There is also an other restaurant planned for the center called Forefathers. It’s being described as American fusion and everything from Buffalo Chicken Wings to Tex-Mex Egg Rolls, Chicken Satay, and Fried Ice Cream.
The new restaurants will be joining Haraz Coffee House at the center which is already next door to a Taco Bell, and kitty corner from a Chick-fil-A and a McDonalds – meaning this will soon become a very restaurant-centric pocket for the surrounding community.
