Wonder restaurants planning third Loudoun location

Earlier this morning, we posted a story updating readers on two new Wonder restaurants coming to Loudoun County. Turns out we should have waited to hit publish.

No sooner had that story gone up than we learned that a third Wonder location is in the works for Loudoun – this time in Ashburn.

The multi-restaurant food hall concept is looking to take over the former Bonefish Grill space at the Broadlands Village Center.

As we just wrote a few hours ago, the Wonder concept is growing quickly across Northern Virginia and elsewhere.

It’s not a traditional food hall or food court. Instead, we’ve been calling it a “multi restaurant” because the menus from multiple different restaurants are served out of one kitchen.

Here’s how it works – you order online with the Wonder app or walk in and order at a digital kiosk in the store.

You can choose from 20 or more different restaurants serving Mexican cuisine, Italian cuisine, fried chicken, salads, Greek food, burgers, and more.

Your food is prepared, boxed and bagged and brought out to shelves in the store where you retrieve it.

You can also order from the Wonder kitchen via delivery apps such as DoorDash.

There is usually a small dining room if you’d like to sit down and eat right there, but the concept is usually focused on carryout and delivery.

As we reported earlier, the Wonder locations coming to Leesburg and Sterling are already well underway in the construction process.

The sign has already been installed at the Leesburg spot and it’s expected to open in April.

Assuming the deal is finalized, no word yet when Ashburn might open – the news is brand new so stay tuned for more updates.
