Fans of the building blocks known as LEGOs will soon have a new location to get their latest fix. The Burn has learned that a Bricks & Minifigs store is being planned for Loudoun County.
It’s reportedly taking a space in the Fort Evans Plaza shopping center in Leesburg.
That’s the same center with the Home Depot. Bricks & Minifigs is reportedly going into a space a few doors down from the Hobby Lobby store.
If you’re not clued in, LEGOs have become a huge business and there are LEGO hobbyists of every age – kids, adults, parents with their children, you name it.
Bricks & Minifigs has seized on the hobby’s popularity and has opened more than 300 franchised stores across the United States and Canada.
The chain specializes in “aftermarket” or used LEGOs – from full kits to individual pieces. They also buy LEGOs from customers in order to resell them.
The name refers to the tiny LEGO building blocks (“bricks”) and the tiny people or miniature figures (“minifigs”) that populate LEGO worlds.
In Northern Virginia, there are already Bricks & Minifigs stores in Herndon, Falls Church, and Woodbridge – but this will be the first store for the brand in Loudoun County.
