Opening dates announced for new South Riding restaurants

There’s been a lot of buzz about two new restaurants in the works for the South Riding area – and now their official opening dates have been announced.

We’re talking about the new Makers Union gastropub and the new Milk & Honey Southern Inspired Kitchen coming to the East Gate Marketplace shopping plaza off Route 50.

The Burn has been told that plans call for Milk & Honey to open next Monday, April 13. The Makers Union is scheduled to open the following week – on Tuesday, April 21.

As readers of The Burn know, the two restaurants are taking the place of the Velocity Wings and the Social House Kitchen & Tap.

All four restaurant concepts are part of the Thompson Restaurants family and the company is in the process of changing out and updating brands across its portfolio.

There are already 18 Milk & Honey locations in the region, including one in Sterling. There are four Makers Union restaurants currently, including one in Ashburn.
