It looks like Raising Cane’s is considering opening a new location in Loudoun County – this time the lucky community is Leesburg.
According to documents filed with the Town of Leesburg, Raising Cane’s is interested in tearing down the former TGIFridays restaurant building at the Leesburg Premium Outlets.
In its place, Cane’s would construct a new location for one of its popular restaurants, one that includes a drive-thru lane. Kudos to the Thompson Family in Nova who first spotted this news and shared it on social media.
If the plans go through, this would be the second Raising Cane’s location in Loudoun. The first one opened over in Sterling back in 2022.
The brand – which specializes in chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, and krinkle cut French fries – has more than 900 locations around the world.
After opening in Sterling, the brand has been slowly growing around Northern Virginia with additional locations in Manassas and Falls Church. Now, they are interested in Leesburg.
Right now, it’s still early in the process. We didn’t see any permits issued yet from the Town of Leesburg and it appears that Cane’s is still trying to get the zoning approved to allow a drive-thru on that property parcel.

Longtime readers may recall back in 2024, plans were submitted to the town to build a Chili’s Grill & Bar on the former Friday’s spot – but those plans never came to fruition.
We’ve got a message into a rep for Raising Cane’s for more information, so stay tuned.
