With this past weekend’s official opening of the new Arhaus furniture store at One Loudoun, the fences around the center’s new expansion area came down.
This allowed The Burn to get a closer look at the spaces where several exciting new restaurants are coming and gauge how far along in the process they are.
The good news – work is well underway on both the new Tatté Bakery & Cafe and on the new Van Leeuwen Ice Cream shop. They should be opening sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, across the street at the future home of the Bartaco restaurant, the building itself is up – but inside it’s still filled with gravel – waiting for utilities to be put in and then the cement floor to be poured. So an opening there isn’t imminent quite yet.
As readers of The Burn know, One Loudoun is undergoing a major expansion on its north side with a new block of businesses.
Other new tenants coming to this section include an Alo activewear store, a Williams Sonoma store, a Pottery Barn store, a Madewell store, and an as-of-yet-unnamed hotel.

There is also be a large, grassy, park-like plaza in front of Bartaco. This plaza will be turned into an ice rink for skating in the winter.
Right next door to the new expansion area, a longtime vacant spot is currently slated to become an Anthopologie store. So lots of new things happening at One Loudoun.
