A change of plans to report today at the Hotel Burg in downtown Leesburg. The decision to open the rooftop bar and restaurant space to the general public more widely next week is on hold.
Readers may recall that back in March, Kevin Ash – one of the founders and operators of the Hotel Burg at 208 South King Street – announced plans to open the rooftop to all starting on Wednesday, April 15.
Previously, it had only been open on Wednesdays to the general public. The rest of the time it was reserved for hotel guests and members of the private social club The Chase.
Now, the Hotel Burg team has recalibrated. “The Rooftop at Hotel Burg will be open to the public on Wednesdays from 4 to 10 p.m. and every first Friday of the month from 4 to 11 p.m., beginning April 22,” a spokesperson said in an email. “Additionally … The Diana Lounge and The Huntōn are open to the public daily, welcoming locals and visitors alike to enjoy everything from morning coffee and casual lunches to evening cocktails and elevated dining.”
Plans announced at the same time to begin offering a menu of street tacos on the hotel’s rooftop are still going forward.
As far as opening the rooftop to the general public more frequently, Ash says that will be explored at a future point.
