New in NoVa: Talkin’ Tacos headed to Fairfax

A growing Mexican taco chain is planning its latest DC area location – and this time its crossing the river into Northern Virginia.

Talkin’ Tacos – a Florida-based chain – is planning a new location in the Greenbriar Town Center shopping plaza off Route 50 just east of Stringfellow Road. The news was first reported by the team at FFXNow.com.

The particular space listed for the new taco shop – Suite S – is the spot currently occupied by a MOD Pizza restaurant which has confirmed it will be closing.

According to its website, Talkin’ Tacos has more than 30 locations open or in the works. Most are in Florida, but there are also outlets in New York, Georgia, and Texas.

There is also a location near Dupont Circle in DC and a second location in the District is reportedly in the works.

The brand is known for popular dishes such as its Birria Tacos, its Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, its Southwest Chicken Tacos, and its Caribbean Carne Tacos.

There are also burritos, quesadillas, bowls, and more. You can see the DC location’s full menu here.

No word yet on when NoVa’s first Talkin’ Tacos might open. This is all still in the preliminary stages, so stay tuned.
